In these very tough economic times the answer to this question is more important than ever!

What do you need to make per hour to cover all of your expenses?

The answer to this question becomes your bottom line whether you are considering the following:

  • Looking for a new job
  • Re-entering the workforce
  • Deciding to cutback your current hours of work
  • Weighing out your life options
  • Considering a potential job but you are not sure whether the salary meets your bottom line
  • Considering starting your own business

There is still more month left at the end of your pay cheque

So here is how you determine your bottom line.

Take all of your monthly household and life style expenses and I mean ALL of them and follow this formula.

ALL of your monthly expenses X 12, and then divide the number you get by 2000, and, there it is the amount per hour you need!

(Why 2000? It is the average number of working hours in one year.)

Please note, this formula does not take into account your planned monthly savings and contributions unless you add it in to the formula.

To your success!
